Velofacts compared the twitter accounts from all World Tour and Pro Continental teams. Most followed cycling team on twitter is Radioshack Nissan Trek @RSNT. @TeamSky is 2nd and @BMCProTeam 3rd. RSNT probably inherited the followers from Team Radioshack because the account started in July 2009. Team Type 1 @TeamType1 Scores very nice and is the best Pro continental team at #15
The Leopard Trek @leopardtrek account still exists, they would be third on this list with 48970 followers. The Team HTC-Highroad @HTCHighroad also still exists and has 32531 followers. Rabobank has a Dutch and an English account. If you’d combine them, they would be 6th.
The French teams score poorly, twitter must not be popular in France.
Official accounts of Bretagne Schuller, Champion System and Utensilnord Named could not be found. They are on Facebook though.
