How were the 16,560 UCI World Tour points distributed in 2012?

World tour points are awarded in the important races of the UCI cycling calendar. Points are explained here (dutch) and here (english)

World tour winner Joaquim Rodríguez  scored 692 points and number 2 Bradley Wiggins 601 points. Their combined score takes 7.8% of the total amount of points. Rodríguez’s score was more than the team scores of 9 world tour teams.

The cobbled classics take a surprising big part of the total world tour points. More than the flat races.
The cobbled classics are E3-prijs, Ghent -Wevelgem, Tour of Flanders and Paris Roubaix

Half of the points are awarded to the General Classifications.
