To be able to determine the quality of a pro a several points scales are used. This is the main points scale:
|Race Class||Stage / classic||General Classification|
|Tour de France||3000||6000|
|Classic, Historic Calendar||3600|
|World Tour Stage Race||1800||3600|
|2.2, U23 stage race||500||1000|
|Junior A stage race||150||300|
|Junior A classic||225|
|Junior B stage race||100||200|
|Junior B classic||150|
This is an example of the points of a 2.1 stage
Many databases originate from the Netherlands and Belgium
Probably the best one out there. Provides startlists.
For some races they end with top 30. Popular among the Pro cyclists.
Official results, but very slow. Don’t use it unless you want to check the official results. Also contains other cycling disciplines.
Also a nice database, long history. Contains CX results
Not well indexed by google, but useful if you read Dutch. It contains rider bio’s and newsitems for the riders. Navigation is poor
Was a good source if you wanted the results fast. But is now only available for a small fee.
Great source. One of the two who provides startlists. Procyclingstats.com has more startlists, but cyclingfever may be a bit more accurate on the bigger races
Results below top 30 available but not always indexed in the database. The images of the cyclists at the older teams is the coolest feature here. It has some news indexed to the cyclists. The website needs a makeover.
Also has cyclo-cross results and a transfer database
Complete results for all UCI races, but not a long history
Not a database, but the best source if you want to look up a race.
The results are complete, including mountain top finishes etcetera. For most races there is a race report. History starts in 1995.
Unfortunately they stopped with the .2 races since 2009
Dutch. Some functions are only available for members, haven’t tried that
Dutch. Blogs facts and figures on current races
